Slow Cooker Moonshine soft drink

This is the main installment of alcohol recipes each month. Even though I callthem "booze", they are actually mixed cocktails based on Everclear ethylalcohol or vodka. The word moonshine simply indicates that the drink may be avery strong alcoholic beverage. The alcohol itself takes on the flavor of theopposite ingredient which masks the actual alcohol content.

With all that said, let's have our first drink of the year. Crock-PotMoonshine soft drink !!!

Several years ago, I was introduced to soft drink beer. Namely, a softdrink-flavored beer that accentuates the sweetness of my favorite soda. Whynot make an alcoholic soft drink that has all the flavors and flavorsassociated with my favorite soda and beer?

I used Hires big H soft drink Extract to make this recipe. I do need to orderthis product from Amazon but I believe you should be prepared to find the sameproduct at the grocery store or even the grocery store.

Add water, white sugar, sugar and pure vanilla to the slow cooker. Heat theliquid on HIGH mode for two hours. You want the sugar mixed with the liquid sothat it doesn't get gritty anymore. cover the slow cooker and add the softdrink extract and mix well. Let the liquid cool completely then add it toEverclear's ethyl alcohol (or vodka).

Now, this recipe involves 1 Liter of Everclear ethyl alcohol. However, youwill decide what proportion of alcohol you want during this drink. Using vodkawill either lower the percentage of alcohol in the drink or use half a bottleinstead of a full bottle of Everclear (or even vodka). You will not reduce thetaste of the drink by adding less alcohol.

This recipe makes nearly 4 liters of Crock-Pot Moonshine soft drink. Add lidsand rings to jars and store in a cool dry place for at least seven days beforeyou drink them. After all, you will keep it almost forever. The longer youkeep it, the more alcohol it compensates for the flavor of the base beer. Youwill taste less alcohol.

Before drinking, be sure to offer a bottle of the shake!

General Inquiries:

When is this Homemade Soft Drink Moonshine?

Due to the high sugar and alcohol content of this liqueur recipe, thetimeframe is almost forever. As long as you store the finished vegetableliquid in a jar or bottle that is tightly closed so that no surfaceenvironment can catch you, you should be prepared to store it at thattemperature for the time being. Not that you will just be prepared not to takea sip!

Is This Recipe Really Moonshine?

Moonshine was originally a slang term for a highly resistant distilled liquorthat was usually produced illegally, without government permission.

Since we don't filter the alcohol in our slow cookers, it's often not realliquor. In contrast, it is often flavored alcohols that use the highlyresistant ethyl alcohol in the Everclear or vodka types. Genuine liquorremains illegal in many states in the US as well as other countries… but ifyou want the big things off limits, just do it instead of Everclear or vodka!
