This bowl is healthier and nutritionist inside and out. Shrimp is considered to be one of the healthiest foods in the world! Apart from protein, shrimp is rich in antioxidants, vitamins D, B3, and is also an excellent low-carb food that will help you reduce and suppress your appetite.

I like to use rice when preparing food. It provides you with a very stable dose of fiber and provides your body with a gently controlled release of energy to last the whole day.

For the edges, I used black beans, corn, cheese and tomatoes. If you want to take an extra step, add chopped salad, sour cream, salsa or guacamole after the shrimp has reheated.

Recipe notes and tips

  • Ideally, soak the shrimp in the refrigerator for 20 minutes, but this often doesn't really matter.
  • The prawns are cooked when they turn opaque and form a 'C' shape.
  • Roast the prawns or grill them if you find a simple outdoor grill.
  • Watch the shrimp as they cook! You don't want them to take too long and they become chewy.
  • Cook the rice according to package directions before starting to cook the prawns so that the rice cooks up while you prepare the shrimp.
  • Sprinkle the prawns with the green onion slices for a fresh taste
  • To spice things up, you will add a few crushed red chili flakes.

What shrimp is the simplest to use?

I like to use raw jumbo shrimp but any size shrimp will do. I prefer raw shrimp over cooked for all of my recipes, so make that a priority if you want. Let the shrimp soak in the refrigerator for 20 minutes if you have time before cooking.

How to assemble this Shrimp Taco Food Prep Bowl?

What makes this food preparation bowl so delicious is the combination of the things that go with it. You'll assemble it whatever you want, but I think it's the right combination for the recipe. I pair my shrimp with rice, grated Mexican cheese, black beans and corn.

Sprinkle the prawns with chopped green onions for added flavor. You will replace rice with lettuce if you want a lower carb version of this meal preparation.

Start by dividing 6 of the rice between the four food preparation containers, filling about half of each container. Then, distribute the prawns you have cooked next to the rice. Place the beans, corn, and cheese in four rows or pies, next to the shrimp and thick. Each ingredient must have its own stack / row.

Another thing that you will improve on to really add flavor to today's food preparation is to use some sort of cream sauce of your choice. I occasionally add some Taco Ranch to mine and that I really like Ortega Taco Ranch. I even tried
