BOSTON CREAM POKE CAKE - Cooking

Total Time: 90 Minutes, Servings: 12-15 Servings

Ingredients :
  • 1 box, yellow cake mix + ingredients called for on box
  • 2- 3.4 oz french vanilla instant pudding mix
  • 4 cups milk
  • 16 oz container pre made chocolate frosting



Instructions :
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 13 baking dish.
  • Make cake according to box instructions for a 9 x 13 baking dish.
  • Once cake is baked, remove from oven and let it cool for 15 minutes.
  • While cake is cooling, in a mixing bowl, whisk dry pudding mix with milk for two minutes. Set aside.
  • With the end of a wooden spoon, poke holes about every 1/2 inch in the cake.
  • Spread vanilla pudding on top of poked cake. Spread out pudding evenly, to fill in the holes.
  • Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour to set.
  • When ready, in a microwave safe container, heat premade frosting for approx 15-30 seconds. You want the mixture to be easily pourable. Then, evenly spread frosting on top of cake.
  • Refrigerate for at least another hour to set before serving.
